INSIGHT: SMSG Strategic Plan Integrates All Education Sector Parties

INSIGHT: Langkah Strategis SMSG Integrasi Seluruh Pihak Sektor Pendidikan

Semua Murid Semua Guru (SMSG) reads the current problems regarding the education system that has not been integrated with the parties involved in policy making and implementation of education programs. To bridge this gap, SMSG presents INSIGHTS: Indonesia Education CSOs and Multi Stakeholders Integrative Sessions, an activity that aims to strengthen collaboration between Education Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), MPI members, and various other stakeholders in improving quality, inclusiveness, and equity in Indonesia’s education system.

The event was an opportunity to connect everyone present to meet, discuss and formulate concrete steps to integrate resources and best practices in Indonesia’s education policy. By involving various parties, this event aims to:

Promote stronger collaboration and collective impact between ECSOs, MPI Members, and stakeholders.
Strengthen managerial capacity in education program management and engagement with various parties involved.
Learn various references as preventive measures through discussion-based sessions and interactive forums.

Collaboration Steps in INSIGHTS

The INSIGHTS event consisted of a series of sessions designed to facilitate the exchange of ideas, experiences and best practices in the education sector, especially in the effort to improve Indonesia’s education system. The main activities in this event include:

  1. Panel Discussion
    This discussion addressed various best practices within the SMSG network, with a focus on the important role of ECSOs in education policy making. Stakeholders were invited to share their experiences and visions on education in Indonesia, with the aim of finding common solutions that can be implemented at the national and regional levels.
  2. Focus Group Discussions
    In this session, participants were able to share knowledge about best practices implemented by ECSOs in various parts of Indonesia. The discussions also aimed to open up opportunities for collaboration between ECSOs and other stakeholders, to create stronger synergies in running more inclusive and effective education programs.
  3. Ceremonial Commitment
    As part of the INSIGHTS event, there will be a commitment to establish a sustainable forum that can strengthen collective impact in the Indonesian education system. The forum is expected to be a platform to strengthen dialogue between the government, ECSOs and civil society, and support better education policies.

The Semua Murid Semua Guru (SMSG) program and INSIGHTS events provide opportunities to contribute directly to creating change for the better. Together, create a more inclusive educational future for generations to come.
